Welcome to Da Fast Lane! The ultimate resource for abandonware sceners, by abandonware sceners. Now in our third version our abandonware resource and tool provision has become increasingly powerful. Da Fast Lane gained notoriety over five years ago as the perfect place to become a freelance abandonware reporter, however; Da Fast Lane has evolved into much more.
Da Fast Lane is a sort of Abandonware Encyclopedia maintained via a partnership between visitors and staff. Visitors can now view detailed information about a particular abandonware website, be it closed or alive. They can also view timelines of abandonware sites and abandonware sceners profiles - and see what people have been involved in at different stages in their abandonware career.
We've recently introduced an abandonware game search engine that stores thousands of abandonware games and the abandonware sites you can download them from. Also, DFL will now automatically check active abandonware sites for updates daily, and post updated sites on the splash page.
Da Fast Lane 3 has been redesigned to become easier to use and to make better use of available screen real-estate at 800x600. We've also revamped the scene archive to allow it to achieve it's potential.
Yet again with DFL tradition, here is a small amount of technical information you may find useful. DFL3 is powered by a custom php/mysql backend.
