Plenty of information for you here in case you aren't interested in anything else but you do quite enjoy reading FAQ's.

Q: Why does your site behave odd in my browser?

A: It's likely you are still like 90% of the internet and using an inferior browser such as Internet Explorer, and while some sites effectively break their source code to ensure compatibility in the short term - we would rather conform to various web standards that are rendered correctly in any standards-compliant browser and ensure that our site remains accessible in the long term.

Q: What are the rules of this site?

A: Participate, share ideas - and have fun! We really want to get people interested and active within the abandonware scene - so think of DFL as a community managed site.

That said of course - we do have some basic rules: please try to limit your swearing, post in English and maintain respect for other members, detailed rules regarding submissions to the scene archive or news page are provided here

Q: So what definition of abandonware do you guys adhere to?

A: A piece of software that is unsupported by its copyright holder or publisher and no longer accessible to purchase and must therefore be obtained without permission

Sort of varies to the common ones, but we think it sums up our position quite nicely.

Q: Can I find any abandonware to download on this site?

A: Nope, remember - distributing software without permission is illegal - abandonware is no exception. We do link to sites that may have illegal materials on them, but we are not responsible for their content, or any actions you take based on visiting that site - so don't try to sue us. you schlag!

Q: I was reading this article / post and some of the information in it is really inaccurate!

A: Don't complain about it, fix it, DFL is community maintained so if you think the information is wrong - feel free to edit it - just stay within our guidelines.

Q: I just posted an article, edited a site and did loads of other stuff - why haven't I got more xp?

A: Because DFL doesn't process this information right away, to save on resources your 'stats' are typically updated every 6 hours.

Q: Gawd, how long does this FAQ go on for?

A: It would have finished on that last question, but you had to try and get the last word in didn't you?
